How active are chickens during the day?

Hi, our chickens, well pullets, are about 14 weeks old and neither my DH or I have had chickens since we were kids/teens so we don’t remember much… our girls are not overly active, they lay around a lot and I guess I just pictured them moving around most of the day. We have them in their covered run most of the day, I can’t let them free range because of our other animals. I do give them veggies from the garden every day in addition to their crumble, they have their fresh water every day and I also give them worms to supplement their diets 😄 we just finished deworming them just in case because we had to deworm our dogs after they ate some of the chicken poop and we weren’t sure if that’s what set them off or not so the vet advised us to deworm. Their combs are still pink but after reading online I think it’s because of their age correct? They will darken as they get closer to maturity/laying? I try to do ACV at least 1-2 times a week and we have a little pen I move them to for at least 2-4 hours a day (most days) in the morning when it’s still cool out (usually starting around 6:30-7 am) so they can have grass time. We are in FL and our temps are already in the mid-90s so we’re assuming they’re laying around because it’s so hot 🥵. We did install a fan that we run for them to help keep them cooler. I know that’s a lot of info, just trying to give a full picture of their days 😅 thanks for any info!!

It is normal for chickens to alternate activity and leisure.
Activity and eating happen first thing in the morning, shortly before bedtime, and several times during the day.
Laying around in the dust bath, or preening their feathers, or napping, or just sitting on a perch watching the world go by, happen for quite a bit of time during the day.

I don't see any problems with what you say of their activity level.

When you offer water with additives, be sure to provide plain water as well. The only exception would be when the water has actual medicine, that the chickens really do need to take. But ACV, or electrolytes, or vitamins should not be put in the ONLY source of water.
