how and when to introduce new chicks to older chickens

I have 2- 3 week old chicks and wondering how and when to introduce them to my older birds. I took them out side and under direct supervision to see how they would react and the 1 instantly attacked her and tried to kill the chick.

When they have most of there feathers on there heads put them in a pen by the other chickens that you are going to put them in with for about a week. After there pretty comfy with them you can try to put them in.
