How are your chicks doing?

16 eggs. 4 Cornish NN x NN or buff polish possible stripper, 4 polish cross possible frizzle, NN, pure buff polish, stripper, 2 goose eggs possible white, and 6 bantam cross eggs. My plan was to hatch my Silkie eggs but when I paired my Silkies the hen quit laying so I’m gonna have to wait.
Ok I candles my eggs and may of added more eggs:oops:. Out of the16 eggs 2 polishx, 3 bantamx and 2 goose eggs. Some of the eggs weren’t fertile, I think bc I had just put the rosters in 4 days earlier. And the meatx egg shells are to dark to see enough to tell if there is a baby.
So I added 5 Silkie eggs, 1 project Japanese, and 2 goose eggs.

Our chicks are three weeks old. We have 8 Orpingtons and they are growing fast and very active. They are about to graduate to a larger feeder and waterer. They are knocking the little chick feeders around and they have knocked over the feeder. They are a rowdy bunch!! I built a perch for them, and they are starting to use it. Pics are at two weeks old.

My 8 chicks are about 2 weeks old (March 1st), waiting to see if my BR is a pullet or cockerel. I have 3 red sex links and 4 black sex links as well (one is slightly different coloring--we'll see). Growing fast, very active and wanting to fly, I don't remember my other chicks being so active this early. They love BSF as a treat. Dust bathes are so adorable.

What is BSF?

My chicks are fixing on being 3wks and1.5wks old come this wkend.
All of them are in their coop, flying and running around. Eating tons! Dust bathing and enjoying the heck.out of their little heat cave.

The are all barred rocks except for 2 Asian blacks picked up on accident by a very loving husband.

There are 33 of them. (We've added and lost a few times I thought I had 32 by the end of all that...but health check and head count the other day proved to be 33 🤣🤣)

I did a search and found the answer. Is this ok to feed to young chicks?
Catch weed

Yes, give them a few each day while providing a little chick grit when they're 2 weeks+ old. Also, give them wild herbs and weeds like: chickweed, catch weed, chopped parsley (if you grow it or buy at the store), scrambled eggs (dry no butter) and wild oxalis leaves in your yard (being you don't use pesticides or herbicides), pull up a chunk with dirt to let them scratch in. Then progress to tiny pieces of fruit and soft veggies. Make sure they have grit if feeding anything other than chick starter.

Sorry got busy and forgot. Sadly only one egg hatched?! I think it’s because I had goose eggs in with them and in my experience putting goose eggs and chicken eggs together cause the chicken eggs to die. Anyway to the babies…
The chick is about 2 weeks old. Here’s a pic when it hatched. Her feathers are coming in barred

And I had to buy her some friend because she was the only one to hatch.
