I am wanting to get an incubator. We don't want to spend a ton on a 'bator and then if we like the hatching and such, we will improve bator quality. It doesn't have a turner, or a fan. How horrible is this?

First time hatcher here and I am on Day 19 with 10 eggs in a still air LG bator and I had 1 hatch today in about 10 hours...It works...And I had turn and have a plain old thermometer in it!!...

God luck...

I have used still air bators for years with great hatch rates. I put them in class rooms in the local schools. I do have turners in them, because I am not able to get to the schools everyday. And they are closed on the week ends. Plus once I start a batch of eggs, I don't like opening the bator. This is where heat troubles start. You can have good hatches with them if you pay attention to them.
