HOW BEST TO PACKAGE EGGS FOR SHIPPING DO"S AND DON"TS

How is your success rate for eggs arriving intact as well as hatch rate?
I would say the success rate is nice. Maybe 1 shipment out of 15 to 20 would have any broken eggs. Sometimes I don't feel like it would matter how you package. I have double boxed with layers of bubble wrap and the box on the inside would be ripped open. How could you possible prevent damage from that!!! As far as hatch rate I think It matters more who you ship too. Some hatch 95% and some hatch none. Some have nice incubators and know what there doing and some do not.

Hey I have a question about temperature. I am supposed to ship an order on Monday (tomorrow) and the weather report says we will have our high of 36 at 5am and the temp is going to drop continuously all day. The low will be 6. If I ship them early, as soon as the post office opens, do you think they'd be okay?

I have recently started posting hatching eggs and was just wondering what you think about my packaging method? Here it goes, i use a double walled cardboard box fill the bottom with shredded newspaper, then i place each egg in a egg carton i wrap bubble wrap around the bottom of each egg pointy side up i then place bubble wrap across the top of the eggs inside the carton and tape the carton closed nice and tight.then i wrap the outside of egg carton 4 or 5 times with more bubble wrap and tape securely,i then place more shredded newspaper on top of the bubble wrapped egg carton and i tape up the box using fragile packing tape.I don't put any arrows saying this side up or anything their is very little room for the eggs to move around in the box if any! would love to hear yer opinion on what im doing wrong and how i could improve my packaging method.
