We are building our coop now. We will have a deck with a building sitting on top and have a 2ft. clear space underneath that they can get to at any time. Later we will attach a run. How big a hole in deck for the chicken to get from the upper house to the downstairs grassy area? They are Silkies and I don't want anyone getting hurt going up and down.
