How big are Silkie eggs?

I'm still deciding what breed to get (man, Silkies are some beautiful birds!), but I'm curious how small a "small" egg is.

I'm used to the "large" size eggs from the grocery store. If there's anyone who has Silkies and access to the standard large size egg, would you mind posting a picture of the eggs side by side so I can see a comparison? TIA for any help!

Well how much room do you have for your flock? Get a couple of silkies and a few good layers. But do yourself a favor and get them at the same time! As chicks It is so hard to integrate a flock. I speak from experience. 4 months now and still having problems. So get what you want from the beginning.

Silkies are great pets, but from what I read not great layers so I got two Silkies and two Barred rocks and a Sicilian butterscotch. My barreds started laying this week at 5 months old and I am awaiting patiently for the others to start laying. I love my flock
