How big is a chicken flock?

I usualy think: A Hen", "A pair", "A Trio (2 hens, 1 roo) or a "Flock" when I talk chicken.

Interesting. I think of a flock as a roo and his harem, so I talk about my Australorp flock, my Delaware flock, etc. - even though they intermingle all the time. Hmmmm.

Interesting thread. I didn't expect such a range of answers. I also refer to a singular chicken by its own classification -- pullet, cockerel, hen, roo, etc. -- two as a pair, three as a trio and four plus as a flock. But then that's IF one of the pair is a roo and the other is a hen, one of the three is a roo and the other two hens, etc. If they're all the same gender I guess I'd call them a flock at 2 or 3, too.
