How big is a hare and how long is its stride?

I just went to put that book back on the shelf and saw this one, so I had a quick look at it to:

not sure how fast, but jack rabbits can really move, i would say at least 10-15 feet.

okay just read some one said 20 feet per jump, i can believe that. my grandparents like eating jack rabbits so i attempt to hunt them in the fall and winter.
 
The Antelope Jackrabbit I killed last week was an exceptional specimen. They are 50% larger than more common Black tailed jackrabbit. They have huge strides and maybe a little faster overall. They are not nearly as widespread as the blackie but they are very distinctive and their ranges overlap. I have only seen them in South-central Arizona and Northern Sonora Mexico.
