How big should my Midget Whites be?

I'm wondering if the feed store might have messed up my order and sold me Broad Breasted Whites instead. My 2 male MWs are 16 weeks old tomorrow. They are still slightly larger than my Bourbon Reds, who are 14 weeks old.

At this age, shouldn't the BRs have passed them in size, even though they are 2 weeks younger? Or would the fast growing Broad Breasteds be much bigger than the BRs by now?

Thanks!

my midgets and bourbons are the same age the bourbons look bigger but the MW weigh a little more I think at any rate they are more filled out for the longest time they were just little just now at 15 weeks have they plumped up

So I guess "midget" is an exaggeration? I wonder when heritage birds put on the bulk of their weight and size? And how that differs from the BB's growth pattern?

My first season raising them I'll have a good idea soon. I've noticed the BR's beginning to fill in too as long as they are ready to eat by Thanksgiving and Christmas.....

Your midgets should get to about 20 pounds for the toms and the hens around 12 to 15, the bourbon toms should go high 20's and hens high teens. They won't hit those weights until 7 to 8 months. Feeding has alot to do with weight gain, if you keep them on a high protien feed the whole time they will gain weight quicker.
