How can 700 chickens establish a pecking order?

I've discovered all the chicken videos on UTUBE!

Some of them are really informative - almost like being there.

I saw one video that showed 700 chicks in a building. How in the world can they have a pecking order with that many kept all together?

I don't know if they do, but think about 700 kids in a high school. They establish a pecking order!
