How can a kid make money during quarantine?

I'm late to this thread, @black_cat, and you've gotten a lot of great ideas already. Barter is something I love to do. Do any of your neighbors have some of the raw materials you need? Maybe you could barter your time/services for them. If any of them are handy, maybe they can teach you some building skills. A mix of materials doesn't have to look like a hodge podge. Some planning and paint can make it look stylish and unique.

I mentioned on another thread to let your neighbors know what your goal is (dollar amount, materials needed, etc.) and why you need it. You'd be surprised how often people would love to help out, if they only know.

Here's a list of things that you might consider (random, off the top of my head, some/all have been suggested, I'm sure):

baby sitting, pet sitting, house sitting
reading to kids, reading to the elderly
yard work, house work, farm chores
tutoring (doesn't have to be kids; teach us old fogeys how to use high tech!)
dog walking

Side note: Every one of these has an element of implied trust. I had a high school teacher tell me to put babysitting on my resume when I was just starting out. His point was, parents are trusting me to take care of the most beloved people they have -- their kids! That implies that I am trust worthy, which is a very good thing to let a future employer know. And, word gets around. My services were in demand.

One other note: People like to help the nice people in their lives. "Oh, it's that nice kid who wants to raise chickens. Sure, we have some yard work you can do." Like I said, word gets around.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Just a thought.... and yes, I just saw this thread..... LOL:confused:
This spring, I will be getting a couple call ducks for my husband. We don't have a duck enclosure for these ducks and although his idea would be to put them into my coop.... NOT going to happen ;)
My solution... I am having a duck enclosure built, to MY specifications, at school! The high school I teach at has a vocational agriculture dept who have kids in need of large projects, and come spring.... this will be one of them! Check in your local schools, or through friends for a program near you. If your school doesn't have an Ag. program.... check to see if they have industrial tech! There has to be someone who can help you build exactly what you want. All I have to do is buy materials...... they have the tools, and know how, AND I get to stop in a couple times a week and check progress! :thumbsup

I think you could start with yard works in your neighbors’ yards. Ask if they need somebody to cut trees and bushes, trim grass, clean snow in the winter, etc. Maybe some people in your place are too tired to walk their dogs after work

You could use this possibility too! Search on the internet for some services you should register for or make some online tasks for getting a small passive income. More ideas here on how to find a hustle side income. I wish you good luck and hope you’ll achieve all your goals!
