How can can I stop a HEN from crowing?

I just adopted a hen from the humane society and she appears to be 2 years or older. I have 3 other hens for her to socialize with. She is very dominant and crows each morning at 5:30am! She does lay an egg every day. I live in a suburban neighborhood so I am sure this will be a problem. It is really loud. Any reccomendations.on how to get her to stop?

Up at the top of the page you'll see a search box...type in the words hens crowing and you'll get a ton of posts to get more information. First thing I saw was that hens do NOT actually "crow" ... it could be that she is trying to show dominance. Hope this helps!
