How can I avoid so much wasted food?

I'm ordering one this week for my chicken tractor.

I concidered that. I found some at Rural King near us. WE have a couple that have the mesh on the botom for the rabbits we used to have but that wouldn't do unless It had scratch in it.

rs are digging the starter out with their beaks. this would give them a bigger area to get their feet in to really dig.

I found one of those saucers that go under a plant and put it under the feeder of the biggest waste makers. I'm going to make a trip to Wally World tomorrow and get several more for the small feeders. I dug through my kitchen for bowles that would work and found one.

I previously tried the aluminum pie pan, with these same mess makers and they would dig out the starter, it landed in the pan then they would stand in it and while they ate they used it as a toilet.

When I tried the aluminum pan that is about the size and depth of a cookie sheet they dug it out and used ti as a toilet and also rolled around in it to dust in.

I think they mush have rolled into each other when they where in the egg and bumped their heads.

When they are let loose to roam the find a patch of sun in a safe place and sprawl out. They look dead when they do it. These two are not normal chicks.

I bought these two for company for my single chick that hatached. Then my AO's came and they where all in the same tub for a few weeks and the two taught the other three their bad habbit. Now they are outside in a cage that is divided. The two mess makers in one side and MIdget and the AO's in the other. Now I have a bigger area of a mess.
With yall's advice, we'll get this fixed.
