I have a 70 in. by 40 in. by 40 in. coop with a slanted roof on top of that. How can i expand it at a very cheap cost?
Thanks for your advice in advance.

Add a lean-to to it......that should work. Or remove half of the roof and make your lean-to come off of that.......I'm lookin' for some pics for ya'

I just swung the backside of the original coop around to the side, keeping the nest boxes the same, and just hung OSB up at less than $5 a sheet. I think I only used 6 sheets...one for the back, one for the other side (which I installed a window) and 2 more for the top, oh & 2 more for the floor, still using the one I originally had for the roof. So $30 in OSB, the cost of some 2x4's and voila!! I went from a 4x7 to a 7x12 (roughly)

Hopefully that can give you some ideas........

What you can do is take off the end board and expand the length with 2x4's. Then just add the end board back on. For the price of a few 2x4's and a couple mores sheet of plywood you can increase the size quite a bit.

ETA: And use OSB instead of plywood, about half the cost, but make sure you paint it.

or take the fount off add piece of plywood 4x8 or OSB instead of plywood, about half the cost, but make sure you paint it. for the sides and floor add your window panel back on it on the open end or put on the side so u could make a run in the future
and make the same roof again.

i hope u are free ranging your chicken now the run look small 10 ft per bird in the run u need about 130ft for your run
