I live in NY in Ulster County NY (not telling the town to prevent crazy stalkers lol [IMG]) & I can't find anywhere online saying for where I live in NY if it's allowed. I have 1acre on my soon to be moved into house and wonder if that's enough for say about 2 or 3 chickens? I plan to raise them from eggs and keep them as pets and of course their eggs are a plus and so is them being able to eat bugs out of my garden on ocassion. I really hope it's allowed where I live. If I had more than 1 acre I'd get a goat for a pet and milking too lol. I'm all about being green, saving money and I love animals! Right now I have 1 cat and lots of fish. [IMG]

Thanks for any info in advanced!

You can call the city office and ask about ordinances, that is what I did when I got chickens just to be sure.
