It was easy to get them in the coop at bed time - But now since we put a heavy duty base on the coop (its 2 ft higher now) they are confused about how to go up the Ramp into Coop- I tried food as incentive but no luck yet its been 3 days,

I hope they will get used to it, any tips?

Just give it time. They will go in. Most chickens will go into the coop as it starts getting dark on their own. Even with a little ladder like you have.

Don't worry, it'll happen. If they're truly not going in, wait until dark and then you'll be able to pick them up and put them inside without any resistance.

:)

The 4th night is when mine catch on almost every time. I put them in by hand for the first three nights and let them come out on their own in the morning. I had one group figure it out the third night, but all the rest get it the 4th night.

I had the same problem when I raiised my coop a lil! I tried food too didn't really work either. I did put their feeder in doorway so they had go up the ramp to get food during the day this seemed help some..for last few nights after waiting for them to huddle in corner of the run I just put them in. Last coupl days all I have to do is go into the run & squat down near ramp & they one by one get on the ramp & go in..it takes about 5-10 mins but it's progress !

I want to thank everyone for the good advise, tonight will be the 4th night, wish us luck - I'll post results later~

Good luck & let us kno how it goes ! Mine actually went in all by themselves last night! Hooray for small victories!
Love your coop set up & bench btw!

I would pick them up and put them in the coop during the day and let them wander back out. I've found that if I make them get down/out of things, then they catch on to going up/in things quicker.

I left a trail of corn kernels all the way up the ramp, then threw a small handful in the coop. They nearly trampled each other trying to be the first one up the ramp, lol. Seemed to do the trick.
