my chicks seem tired, they are a week old and to me look like 4 day old chicks i dont know im new to raising them, i just want them to be okay, i realised yesterday that there is something called pasty butt that two of them had but luckily i was able to get it off quick enough, i was told when i bought them they were about 3 days old and then i read chicks stop getting pasty butt at 3 days???? so confusing. anyways, how can i give them more energy? they are eating and drinking but their little feet are cold even though i have the heat lamp on them. do they need more heat??

Chicks can get pasty butt well past 3 days, especially if too hot or stood stressed

For my chicks, I've always given them sugar water to help boost them. As far as pasty butt, they can get that at any age and should always be kept an eye on. Clean environments and the chicks being healthy and kept at the right temperature helps reduce the chances of pasty butt.

I noticed you have this thread here: cedar bedding. Are these the same chicks?
