I had a chick hatch out yesterday with one leg kind of looking like a straddle leg. He also had some issues with adsorbing the rest of his yolk. I followed the directions for making a splint from a bandaid but it didn't seem to work for him. He is so bottom heavy that he can't move with the splint on and keeps rolling over on his back from which he can't get up. I took the splint off because he could move better that way but he still keeps rolling over and is unable to right himself. He is very alert and normal in all other ways. What can I do to help him. Will his leg straighten on its own?

Splint it again and give the chick time to adapt it may take up to a week for the condition to fix itself. can you post pics? I take the splint off every 2 days to check the progress and replace the splint because they grow so fast.
