Just anything in general. I've heard about some things people have to change to improve. I just would like to try before something bad happens

Is it going to be under a roof like a barn or porch or exposed to the weather? If no roof over it then it would be a good idea to paint it. Those pre-fab coops just do not hold up to wet weather. Especially where the wood frame at the bottom meets the ground. You might also want to improve the roof with actual shingles. If it's under some type of roof then none of the above applies. A hardware cloth apron around the outside will also help prevent predators digging in.
