How can i introduce a guinea fowl in to my flock.

How can i introduce a guinea fowl in my flock of chickens.
Is it an adult guinea? I've seen recommendations to keep them locked in the coop for as much as 3 months to imprint them.

We brooded day old keets in the coop with our chickens. They all get along fine. The guineas roosted with them for a while, but eventually started roosting in the barn next to the coop. In nice weather, I find one or two in trees. I feed in the coop and they still go in for that. And they mostly hang out with the flock during the day. I think if I'd put higher roosts in the coop, they might have been more inclined to stay in there, but not sure.

Hope that helps.

I rescued a keet from the trash at work all its siblings perished while being shipped in February we thought it was a chic at first and didn't realize what grace was until a couple of weeks ago. I'm keeping her in a large covered pen outside next to my snaplock coop one of mr barnevelders managed to get in there with her today and start a fight the little guinea fought back impressively! I had to pull my barnevelder out by a wing and the guinea was coming after her so i had to push her back. I live in the city and am reaching out to a friend to take grace because I don't believe my neighbors might appreciate her in their yards or on the rooftops
