They have plenty to eat- but the freshly tilled soil is too tempting I guess! I only have a few days left to get my veggie seeds in! They already make coleslaw out of my hosta garden. Any ideas? Thanks!

Dumb question, but do you have to use really strong wire to keep them out of the garden or could you just use netting (which we already have

)?

Every living plant that I want to keep alive around here has fencing. We just use tall chicken wire and for some reason, the chickens don't fly over it to get into the gardens - flower or vegetable. We use those steel fence posts every few feet and secure the chicken wire to it. No netting - except on the strawberries and that's to keep wild birds out more than anything else.

I have welded wire around my garden, but if you can secure the netting well enough to keep them from finding away in it should work.
