How can I keep Starter Feed and Layer feed separate?

I am thinking about moving my about 10 week old chicks into the coop with my 2 1/2 year old hens. They seem to get along pretty well, But I'm not sure how I should keep their feed separate. Or even if you can keep them separate. I'm feeding the chicks grower feed and I'm feeding my hens layer feed. I'm not really sure what I should do.. Any suggestions would be helpful ^^

Hi, such fun!
You can feed them all grower and have oyster shells a little higher up for the older hens .

Layer has it in it and the egg makers need it but the young ones don't .
