My house is 2ft off ground so my ramp is high at the top I have roof shingle on it to keep them from slipping but everynight when momma hen goes in house 2-3 babys get stuck out cause they fall off side of ramp, what can I use to keep them from falling off thank you

Thanks I can't make it longer, but I can add some strip of wood not sure if that would help cause they go off on side of ramp could I use some small strip of rabbit wire along side of ramp like make a railing they fall off when they get half way up so I won't put it all the way down the bottom, well this work to? Thank you!!

How old are the chicks?
Mama should make sure they come in, but I had the same problem...kept them in the coop until chicks were older, put a smaller ramp in their are to 'practice' on.

You can reduce the angle of a ramp by raising the low end of it onto a concrete block set tall-wise(16") add a ramp from ground to block for chicks,
but by 2-3 weeks they should be able to fly up it.

The chicks are a week old, I went out tonight to check on them they were all in the house with mommy! So maybe they getting the hang of it lol thanks for your info! :)
