how can I make a coop with wood pallets?

Okay the base pallets are 4x8 and I placed two of them side by side, next I got 4 more 4x8 pallets and placed them on the base on there side so now the coop is 8x8 and 4' tall. I next went looking for a 34"x48" pallet after locating these I got 8 of them and nailed them into the 4x8 pallet that I have on the sides. At this point I measured from the base up 7' and took a sawzal and cut all the way around the whole thing. I went to lowes and bought two 4x8 sheets of osb for the floor and 14 2x4x8 and 8 2x4x10. The total cost in the whole thing is at 80 dollars

That is just outrageous for $80! Wow I don't think that will ever be beat (size + cost).

How about the roofing and sides? How many, size, cost?

Thanks so much for replying. I really appreciate it.

If you have the time, and more pictures, I sure would make this into it's own thread. I bet MANY people would take your plans and build one like this.

WOW!!!!!!!

The roof I made trusses using 2x4x8. I made 4 of them, next I used the 2x4x10 and used them as stringers so I could attach the tin to the roof. I got all of the tin from a recent hail storm because they redid all of the metal on the barns.

I'm not done with the back nor am I done with the whole thing. I'm not sure how to make a thread on this topic?

Thanks for all that info and all the pictures.........

To start a thread scroll all the way to the top of this page............

Right under "how can I make a coop with wood pallets? - Page 3" you will see a box that says "Start new thread", click that.

Then come up with a title like "How to make an incredibly attractive 8'x8' coop with pallets"

In the body cut and paste the information that you gave me here in this thread (material list, how you assembled it, etc) and then put all these pictures in it just like you did here (Except you can put them all in the first post by selecting them all).

It's really easy!!!!
