how can i make his feathers look good?

hello, i have a americana rooster his tail feathers dont look the best.im kinda desprite, well in other words i need them nice for fair in july. any ideas? oh ya and should i move my 4 bantams in with my other sixty barred rocks,pearl white leghorns, and other americanas?
