This silkie chick hatched yesterday. It did have a bit of a rough hatch and was a little bloody. How can I help it? It’s not splayed leg but it’s like it can’t get its legs underneath it to stand. It just flails around.

Here’s a video (sorry I couldn’t figure out how to embed this!)

Get a rubber band. Cut a straw to about 3 centimetres. Put the rubber band through the 3 cm straw. Put the end of the rubber band around the chick'slegs. I've had bloody hatches before and I've never lost a chick to blood loss (except for the tuime a hawk carried one off in it's talons and I rescued it). I=I had a splayed-leg duckling once and the straw trick worked. Even if it isn't splayed leg, it can't stand so it should work
