How can I tell if my hen is going broody?

I have a year old BO and two roos. Last night when I was closing the coop for the night and pulling the egg (she gives 6 a week), I noticed that one of the nesting boxes had material other than the pine that I put in the box. Lots of leaves and twigs from the yard. Could this mean my hen is going broody?

That is possible...I usually tell because the hen will just start sitting in the nest box and will hiss at you or puff up her feathers when you reach in to collect the eggs. Some will even peck at you.
