My Kindergarten class hatches chicks every year. This May I will be taking some of them home! In the past we have gotten an assorted pack of eggs from McMurray Hatchery. My problem is I am not sure if I will be able to tell what breeds the chicks are when they hatch (other then the Turkens which are easy to differentiate.) Is there a place where I can see pics of chicks from different breeds so I can get an idea of what has hatched? I want to make sure I get some good egg layers to take home. Thanks for your help!

I order from McMurray sometimes, and so I thought I would mention that on their webpage, if you click on any breed, they also show a chick pic!!

Oh and you have to check out feathersite.com. They usually have chick pics at the bottom of the page for each breed. I spent hours on there!

It also helps if you know what color egg the chick hatches from too, I have little cages I made from hardware cloth when I have different breeds that will look the same as chicks, or don't know what they will look like. If you have room, you could make a cage for each egg color, white, green/blue, and brown.
