My hatch date is tomorrow, but this is my first time and I'm wondering if there is any way to tell if they will hatch or not? I never had a humidity reader in there and I kept the temp at 97 instead of 99.5 because that is what someone told me to do! Is there any way to tell if they are alive in there or not?

97 is WAAAAY too low. they might either hatch late and lethargic or not at all

but they will chirp if they will hatch.

i would get a hygrometer for next time. they aren't that expensive. i picked one up at menards for 5 bucks; takes a while to register, but it works fine.

otherwise it's like throwing flour, sugar, eggs and oil in a pan without measuring and wondering if you'll get a cake.

heat and humidity are the main ingredients in cooking eggs

This is why I signed up on here! I get sooo many different opinions and information on these guys! Well I hope they hatch....
