how can you tell sex of young silkies?

I ordered blue and white straight run silkies and would like to know how to tell the sex. They will be here in two weeks. They are so fluffy and different from other chickens! I can't keep boys so finding out the sex early is best so I dont get attached. Thanks in advance! I'm so excited for these little fluff balls.

I don't believe they can be accurately sexed early which is a great reason to buy point of lay pullets. The last few my friend bought were around 5 mos. old and definitely pullets.
She has had too many young 'females.' that morphed into males.

It happens in a lot of breeds but, mainly day old chicks, or straight run (which generally meals mostly males).

Have you subscribed to the "Silkie thread," lots of good pictures and experienced breeders, and guess what ?? They still get fooled and end up with males.
