Our Rooster Joe's like to stand and sit besides me, he fallows me where I go and comes to close, some times Im afraid he is going to bite me, even that he does not seem violent against me. Should I feel afraid?

Although it is not unusual for chickens to follow and stay near because they think they will get treats, it does sound like you rooster might be shadowing you because he see you as invading his territory. I don't think you should be afraid because he is acting appropriate so far. It can be a delicate balance with some roosters. I don't want to encourage a battle with the rooster but I also want to make sure he respects me. I try to avoid sudden movement around the chickens in general, but I don't move out of the rooster's way. He should move out of my way.

If your rooster does feel threatened and challenges your authority, he is more likely to kick than bite unless you are actually picking him up.
