How close should I watch my broody hen??

This was a concern i had just last night, i think what i would end up doing is adding the new chicks to the lone cochin chick and leaving the seramas in their own brooder. I want to give this little one peeps to hang out with so its not so lonely. I am concerned about illness but at this point the broody hens are getting to be too many and i am running out of room for the chicks.I don't think its fair to keep just one lone chick by itself which is why i ordered a few more. I had done this once before and had no problems but i know its always a risk when getting hatchery chicks. I know my chicks are healthy, i have been watching them like a hawk, all i can do is hope the new little ones will be just as healthy.

Chances are the chicks you get will be fine, but I would watch them for a day or so before you put any of yours in with them !! Just to be safe !!

Putting this lone one in with another broody isn't an option, i tried that with the first egg that hatched and the other broody hen killed it

I plan on having the new chicks in a small brooder for the first 3 days until they graduate to the pine shavings, i think that gives me enough time to make sure they aren't sick... i hope. I just cant afford to have 3 heat lamps in 3 different places for any length of time lol.

He might be ok now that he is a little older !! are the chicks the same age now ?? If he just mixes in that would help !!
