How cold does it have to be to kill mites?

I keep reading about mites on here. It is winter time, doesnt the cold kill them? I was hoping for a reprieve this winter.

I didnt think of that. I dont think I have any right now, so I am hoping everything gets killed this winter.

The northern fowl mite and lice live on the chicken. Red mites live in the coop.
