my daughter was wanting to get the valturian but reeding about this breed thay have to be kept above 30 degres are other breeds more tolerable to cold

I have just regular old farm-yard guineas. They roost in the trees year round....the elms in the summer and the cedars in the winter. We get cold here (-18 this winter) with very cold wind chills and they never seem any worse for it.

thank you she will be happy to hear that she saw another tipe she liked so that will make her day tomarrow we have no way to heat a coop sorry it took solong to get back computer is on dileup slooooow thanks again

Domestic Guineas are very cold hardy and easy. Vulturines are not at all cold hardy, and I never could allow mine to get below 50 degrees or their toes would fall off. They are also very disease prone, and get sick easy unless they have a large outdoor aviary, 50ft by 50ft or better. Awesome birds otherwise. The biggest draw back, is your looking at $850/pair versus $20/pair.
