How cold is too cold - WI edition

I'm a firm believer in keeping the coop ventilated so their feathers stay dry.I don't cover mine in plastic either. (Edited)

Here are my young chickens, 12 to 14 weeks, in my Woods Fresh Air Coop. 8 F this morning and they are right at the front open window, happy and clucking away. Also note, none of them were standing on one foot, they were all just walking around, so it appears they were standing that way.

Yes, the Wood design is great for cold weather climates.
Most do not understand the concept.

Appreciate seeing a happy Woods coop! As a first timer I am worried that I am doing it wrong. Yesterday was wet, windy and miserable in SC NY so everyone stayed in. They seemed forlorn for the first part of the day but we just ignored them.
Their indoor waterer is a little iced over today, so that probably rates a hot breakfast. And breezy still with a dusting of snow, so I think they will stay in for a few more hours til the sun is stronger.

To block wind coming in our chicken door & causing a draft I attached some old windows on the front corner of the run. Its also the warmest spot in the run when the suns out.
