Yo Kinder! I will be selling birds in early spring, and since you've gone through so much and I'm assuming you're a junior, I'd be more then happy to send you a nice pair or trio at a discounted price. I honestly hate shipping eggs because of the trauma, I've never gotten more then a 60% hatch rate myself from shipped eggs, but as already stated it's a gamble. Though I guess you could could say I'm addicted to gambling the, since I can't keep myself from buying eggs from eggbid

I feel your pain! I have such a hard time making a go of this whole "chicken thing" sometimes, despite all of my research and prep and doing everything "correctly". And yet my friend that bought her chicks at a TSC "on a whim" has had zero problems, and even got a broody hen to hatch eggs this week out in the cold coop with no help.
I feel like there must be a lesson in here somewhere - maybe we all care too much??????????

Whoo! I have 11 started birds right now, and then the 20 somethings due to hatch over the month. I'll let these guys feather out and wait until they're atleast 5 months old, I don't want to send you a pair of young birds that end up having horrible mottling or some other defect (their mottling type doesn't become prominent until 5-6 months of age, and then picks up from there.) I"ll have to send you a picture of an extremely nice pullet that just turned five months old, who'll be what I'm going to try to pick out for you type and mottling wise

I would like a blue rooster, and a black hen. Then another Blue if I get a trio.

Looks like I have a little black rooster right now.

Hoping for a blue pullet from the next egg.
