How Daring is a Chicken?

I am planning on moving my little chickens (easter eggers and bantam silkies) out to the barn soon. This barn has been out of commisison for a while...we just bought the place and we want to get it functioning again as a hobby farm type barn. We have goats housed in what used to be an area for cow stalls and there is a small room at the back of the barn that I think would be just right for chickens...except for the fact that the barn is built on a slope and the floor of this room is about 6-7 feet from the ground...I want the chickens to have easy access to a run outside.

The goats do just fine on a ramp. Would chickens be OK with a setup like that? Or, possibly a series of platforms?

If I get a chance to post pictures, I will!

Please, if anyone has tried out something like this, let me know how it went.

Thanks :)

Welcome to BYC!

Pics would definitely help.
I've seen a few very long ramps for situations like this....
...or they might be able to fly up to a platform in front of pop door depending on the breeds and individuals.

Beware that goats will gorge on chicken feed, sometimes fatally.
