How did I get here??

I never met chickens or a turkey before. It amazes me how friendly and curious they are. The little noises they make. They conversations they have. The seem to love and crave attentions. They like it when I talk to them. They stare at me through my low living room windows. The view of the birds is much more entertaining than TV.

Glad you joined us! I'd get rid of the hay and clean the coop up the best you can. Make sure the chickens have plenty of water, and maybe get them some real chicken feed, too. Just bugs and grass won't keep them in top laying condition. The stop in egg laying could be because they're going to molt, or simply because of stress. With good care, they should start laying some beautiful eggs for you soon.

Ah thanks. I did get laying crumbles. These three chickens are very smart. The previous owner had a dog that ate one every couple weeks. The sweetest more trusting ones went fast. The Americauna is the ring leader. The Dominique and Barred Rock are the fallowers and they are molting. I see lots of billowy feathers growing in. These birds are great pets. I am so attached after just two weeks.

Those birds are so lucky to have met you!
Hearing things like "you don't have to feed them" just makes my blood boil. You got some excellent advice here already. I think the first and most important thing on the to-do list would be the coop. Clean it out, treat it for mites/lice other nasties (Carbaryl dust/spray is very good, as is Permethrin), get some nesting boxes in there (2 boxes should be fine) and put some fake eggs or golf balls in the boxes to the show the ladies where to deposit the rent. I'd also deworm and treat the birds for mites as a precaution. Especially since in time you'll most likely do what most of us here do and decide to get a few more chickens... maybe another turkey...
