How did that happen??

Well on Easter Good Friday I got my 3 lovely warren hens for my garden, I absolutely love them they are so tame, friendly and cheeky. I had never had chickens before but always wanted them

but then.......

On 23rd July I got my allotment and before you know it I now have 3 black leghorns, 2 Exchequer leghorns, 3 light sussex, 3 cream legbar + cream legbar rooster, 3 chamois polish, 3 silver laced polish and reserved 6 battery hens which are being rescued on 20th October. How on earth did that happen??

I am so happy with them all, I am even currently in the process of setting up an area for a pair of turkeys

. I just can't work out how in the space of 5 months I have gone from having no chickens a full blown flock

but I wouldn't have it any other way

BTW, I did not know that stick insects can be kept as pets. I see them around my yard occasionally. They are cool.

Thank you they are still all very young so not quite grown into themselves yet he he. Quite a few people keep stick insects as pets here not that they do very much. We don't have them in the wild at all..much too cold & wet. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post
