I know the feeling. I made a list this morning of what must be done before winter arrives. It's too long. 😨

Yep, never seems to be enough time to get ready for winter.

I’ve decided to cancel winter this year and hence forth going forward, in perpetuity.

Truly seconds this motion!

She was trying. Check out that wingspan! They can really fly.

The Bobsy twins are out and about, they dropped by to see if I was sharing my cheerios, then ran off when Ravens gave them a glare - apparently they are her cheerios!

Now that you have some Polish ladies, I imagine there will be polish chicks hatching next year.

I go between thinking pullets and then cockerels. When I heard Petra tidbitting this morning I about bawled. And yesterday Leah gave a whine/growl like I hear the boys doing.

So at the moment they are just tiger chickens running around looking pretty.

What I would love to do is get some Azure x Mr P daughters. But again the risk of cockerels is too great, eap now that I can’t realistically re-home them.

The tiger chickens are a hoot, when I let the out I run down the alleyway and they run/flap/fly right on by me and out the door - oh to have their energy, between them and to silkie chicks I am exhausted just watching them!

Conversely the Noirans are docile and quiet, more into sunbathing.

Well, if you think your seeing Saddle feathers, then yes I believe you are. I think you have a lovely cockerel on your hands.
I thought this was my post with your photo on it!

I give you sunbathing molting beauties.

Heard squawking and saw Shehnai was balancing on a pullet yesterday. There’s been helping but haven’t seen himgo that far before. Maybe their hormones are starting up? They are 20 weeks old tomorrow.

Working hard on excavating for the second coop further away, run still not finished but DH was available. RC, what, me calm? The great weather and worry about winter approaching had me leaving a classical guitar symposium early yesterday to get back to work here. Worked way past sunset, good amount got done. @RoyalChick
You are doing great and seem very calm to me. I am sure I will be in a big dither as Mr. Chips starts causing trouble.

It's an awesome video! Great catch of the vocal transition. And watching Cookie zip about, the only way Mr Chip will EVER be able to mate her is if SHE wants him to. Her agility is fantastic!
She does zip about. Mainly to escape Calypso! They were in that low area so she wasn’t using vertical space - but she can and does. I have some ideas to increase vertical places in the run which I will try and implement when I get back from my trip. There are already several ‘up’ places but I think I could create more with a bit of ingenuity.
