How did you get your horse?

I thought it would be fun to make a thread where people can post how they got their horse. It doesn’t have to be your first horse, it can be whatever horse of yours you want to post about, or even multiple horses of yours! I don’t have a horse yet, but hope to get one soon

I got Harry as a surprise birthday present 20 years ago from my partner. I did know Harry before he bought him for me though. Best present ever!

Yes he’s still my special boy even though he’s old and grey now. He’s like my second child! This is him last week with his newly sheared sheep companions. He’s especially in love with Mr sheep!

I bought both of my horses. "Bug" (black) came from New Hampshire and was 4 months old, and "Joey" (bay roan) came from a friend that lives a few towns over from me.
