How did you starting breeding? I have a lot of questions.

Still at the starter steps here but here my advice:

Like people above said find the best breeders you can afford, if able see if they'll let you nick pick their mind to hear their experiences. What worked for them and what didn't, invest in a good incubator (I got a small one but plan to work with parents to refurbish my redwood I bought as a teen). Try to get active in your local breeder scene, invest in the apa/aba standard (even older editions should work if not a new variety or breed).

There alot of books focus on breeding poultry from a breeder pov you may want to invest in. Be ready for the first five years to be the rough ones on culling, the breeders I am working with have flat out stated be ready to only keep maybe three per year at smaller scale until you built the numbers. Have a outlet for your culls, will you slaughter them? Sell them as layers? That important too.

If you plan to show be ready to invest in cage building to cage train and condition too.
