Good Afternoon, These fluffy fun cuties are my first Silkies. I asked in a previous thread about their gender (with photos), now we know, however the next step I would like help with is how do I acclimatize them from the indoor 63 degree temp to the outside 34 degree cold wet winter temp?
They are about 2 months old now. It stays 35-40 & dry in the coop all the time. The run is outside and dry also because it's covered but it's damp I'm sure well, because it's outside.

Thank you all so much for your helpful advice! :)

I'm really interested in this thread too. I'm in Ohio, and I've got five Silkie chicks in he house brooder (in the walk-out basement room where we keep the firewood.) So I'm really worried about putting them outside once they're fully feathered. And I have three adult grown silkie hens that are having their first winter and are already outside in a small coop inside a large chicken run. They haven't been coming outside since it got cold these last few days.....So I'm concerned. (Hubby says they're not very smart.) LOL But I love them....
