My silkie hen has this weird stuff on her head and face. It seems to come off a little when I wipe it with a damp cloth, but it's almost like something got stuck on her head and dried there.
I have absolutely no idea what it is, or how it got there. It doesn't seem to be causing her any pain, but I'm still worried that it might be a sign of something more serious.
She's an indoor chicken who has splay leg that wasn't treated before she became an adult. As a result, sometimes she sits on the floor in weird positions, so she might've picked up something from doing that. She's eating and walking around just fine, but I'd like to know what it is. Thanks.
