How do I apply pinless peepers?

I have tried everything with my one barred rock hen(1 year) who always attacks her 5 other sisters. They are all the same age. The last thing I am trying are pinless peepers. I have them already but I am having trouble putting them on the hen. I would like to not hurt her. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Did you get the little plier-like device for applying the plastic part? If so, use that to spread the wings of the Peeper. Have someone hold your chicken for you and look for those nostril holes in the beak. Aim the little pivot/spindles of the Peeper at the nostril and release the plier handles slowly so the spindles find their way into the socket.

I did get the device. I tried using it earlier and I felt like I was going to poke her or give her a bloody nose. Someone was holding her for me. I will try again later. Here is a picture of the device.
