Yea, I know this is off topic.
But I printed out some hints for an Amish gentleman who mentioned the other day that his new hens were eating their own eggs... I printed out two pages for him, o f" yalls "suggestions" on the subject, I did so by copying and pasting under "text edit" on my Mac and nice HP printer.
But my printer is wasting lots of ink cause my printer wants to make the pages "gray" like on this forum.. You know the background color???
which is "gray" instead of white>>>>>>> ?????
thanks,,, a long time computer user , but newbie chicken mama......
Hubby says I obsessed..... LOL
Bt he is the one that hand Syringed feed water slowly, the runt new chick that is supposedly 2 weeks old..... he little chick had a hard stool but but contines to stand up instead of lying down
thanks

When you paste, do you get a drop down menu? There is usually one that asks something like if you want to "Keep Text Only" or "Keep Source Formatting" etc... pick "Keep Text Only"

only way I can see a two step process
is to "paste"first then go up top tool bar on "text edit" and make "plain text"
then second step go back to top bar again under " format" or "edit "and change back to "rich text"
what a pain in the butt
But better than wasting so much black ink from printer cartridges
just crazy aout my Mini Mac though so small
Thank you
