Eye color. Acting sick.

This is onenof our starlight. It was found today. I dont remember it having red eye. It just came off molt and our weather got crazy. Its acting very lethargic. Any ideas? We treated the water corrid.

Are both eyes red? It looks more like the normal pupil color, I can't really see inflammation around the "whites". The comb color is concerning.
Is she having any breathing issues? Is her skin underneath her feathers warm?

Yeah the comb did concern me also. It doesn't sound like its struggling, but its acting like its sick. I thought maybe it didnt get into the coop last night. And right before I seen your message I just went out to check and had to put it in the coop.

Did you check for mites or lice? What's the temperature where you're at?
Sometimes a pale comb can be caused by temperature swings like heatstroke or frostbite, parasites, or anemia...
It probably wouldn't hurt to try and give it some electrolytes.

Molt causes pale combs because hormones are not active during this time. All of my thirteen hens have pale dry combs. So does my rooster.

Appetite also suffers during and after molt. Feed extra animal protein such as fish or ground beef or cooked egg.

Red happens to be the color of many breeds of chickens. When something is wrong with the eyes, the chicken usually will keep the eye closed.

We have went from 50s to artic in 3 days amd 12 to 14 inches of snow in last 48 hours. We did a coop wide dusting of Diatomaceous earth a month back and my wife was treating them some other liquid you put on there backs. It was fine and molting the days prior to the snow and temp change. Comb was normal color also. It just didnt have feathers.we did not find mites or lice I might add also.

I honestly never paid attention years past with the combs during molt. This the first year its happened and temps bottomed out and we had accumulated snow.

We do feed them table scraps like roasts and ground beef and assortment of squash that is kept around for them from the garden. I haven't noticed this one acting different till today. But I also haven't been to the coop since Friday. But my wife hadn't noticed it acting bad till today either
