All I do for my coop is tap out all the poop on the poop deck and hose it down then add more saw dust and put it back, but it always smells bad!!
And as for my run, every one's like "oh yeah I sweep mine" or whatever but it's kind of impossible for me to sweep mine
it's very very small you see

and because it's winter where i am sand isn't an option,it'll get to cold on their feet,so i've packed the floor with straw
but it's kind of smelly and poopy now... how do I clean it? do i need to put anything down or will they be okay on the dirt? and if so how do I clean the dirt floor?

Straw isn't the best. Try dried leaves. Last winter, I had that in the run and kept adding to it when it got broken down. I also put a bit of clear plastic over the run mesh where the rain was blowing in, to keep it dry(er). Can you not let your hens free-range a bit in the day? Obviously, the less they're cooped up, the less poop will be in there.
Didn't you say you have only two hens? Are they very big? I have a Sebright and a Friesian in a 7sqft coop and that only needs cleaning out every few months. No smell at all.

You could still move it? Put it onto the driveway or whatever it is there, clean the area up and then put it back? When you move it, just lift it enough off the ground to do so.

I have one just like this which I was going to put my ducks in, but it's too small for them, then I thought I would get a couple of laying hens, but decided that they are too poopy messy etc, so now, after some deep thought, have decided on some quail. I'm going to cover the bottom with the wire mesh and raise it off the ground about a foot or so, then I can move it if I like....or do I just cover the bottom still and just keep it on the ground? I'm still deciding that one. I need to consider snakes etc here and also will be good to move around to accommodate the weather. It's gets up to 45 celcius plus here, so they will need cool shade, and then some protection from the cold winds we get here too!
I'll consider building an extension to it. I will get my wood from the salvage yard...heaps cheaper this way!

Perhaps there's some ideas for you?
