My 8 week old Pekin duck is molting the last of her duckling fuzz and feathers. Over night while my ducks are in the coop, they breathe in these fuzzies and it is getting caught in their nistrils and on their bills. Sometimes they harden into their bills. They don’t show any signs of hard breathing or health issues, but I’m worried these fuzzies and feathers will caught respiratory issues. How can I clean the nostrils? Is there anything I can do?

Your ducks have feather boogers. :lau
As stated as long as they have water for rinsing, they will be fine.

I see feather boogers quite often here. And if they don't finally get them washed out I pick them out for them, just me can't stand it. lol It's usually my gander Sam that has them the most. :hmm

is it normal for them to cough because of the feathers? I was getting my ducks out of bed and Twinkie was coughing up a storm. Scared me. Then when I saw him he had down and feathers all in his nose holes and everywhere. I cleaned it out. He has a deep water bowl always, like 12 🤣 he hasn’t coughed since.. just scared me that he couldn’t breathe??? I’m assuming that’s just the way it goes but just looking to see if others deal with the same.
